Go Blow Joe

Posted by shtuey on April 9, 2009

biden1933jpgOnce again it looks like the Pampers administration can’t seem to make up its mind, having just finished a whirlwind tour of Europe, in a humiliatingly botched attempt to retool America’s image as the world’s ex-policeman, bully, and enforcer. No more will America be dictating its favored policy to foreign powers, encroaching on their sovereignty by demanding that they comply with America’s interests: unless the subject happens to be Turkey being admitted to the EU, or the survival of Israel.

The message this week: we’re probably going to let Iran get the bomb, and Israel needs to sit back and let it happen, so it can risk being evaporated off the face of the earth. On 2 April American Defense Secretary Robert Gates informed us, via the Financial Times, that he would be “surprised” if Israel acted against Iran this year as it might be a year, or two, or three, before Israel would actually be in danger of being wimolated. I’m sure Israelis find that to be very reassuring.

Then it was reported on the 8th that Joe “Plugs” Biden warned Israel against making any moves against Iran. From the LA Times:

With his brief comment Tuesday, Biden became the highest-ranking administration official to caution the Jewish state against a military strike. In the interview, Biden was asked whether he was concerned that Netanyahu might strike Iranian nuclear facilities.

“I don’t believe Prime Minister Netanyahu would do that. I think he would be ill advised to do that,” Biden said.

Yep, it’s a new era for American foreign policy all right. Radical Islamists are going to be allowed to get the bomb, and a sovereign nation is being told to sit on its hands and commit suicide.

Apparently the lesson that Pampers claims America has learned, not to dictate terms to other countries, has a caveat: Israel. What a surprise.

Here’s a reality check Joe. I have a feeling that Israel is not going to be taking foreign policy and defense advice from a braying ass such as yourself, or any of the other chuckleheads passing themselves off as humanoid in the Pampers administration.

Thank goodness the Pampers administration is not running short on Stupid.

Toxic Meme Alert! Today’s Word Is: Discrimination.

Something Stinks!

Something Stinks!

For those of us who are firmly in the pro-choice camp – that is, who believe that the woman’s choice reigns supreme when it comes to her own body – the election of Barack Obama was quite a blow. We were paying attention to the way he claimed women should consult a committee (of men, of course) before she made her choice about her own reproductive status. We noticed that he did not pick a new HHS secretary for quite some time after his inauguration, which meant that Bush’s “conscience rule” has been in effect since the end of last year – and although the 30-day comment period expires today, the right-wing fundiegelicals seem to be the only ones commenting. They are screaming to the high heavens that Obama should not roll back the rule because they feel otherwise they will be “discriminated against.”

I have news for the meme-meisters of the evangelical movement. The government telling my doctor or pharmacist that they don’t have to inform me of all of my options regarding my own body, or that they have the right to deny me health care or birth control is discriminatory TOWARDS ME. This “conscience rule” keeps women in the dark, and prevents them from getting medical procedures and prescriptions that they paid for.  To meddle in the lives of women and their loved ones to this degree is an inexcusable use of government power.

Besides, in order to prove discrimination, wouldn’t these “Christian” doctors have to prove some kind of harm was caused by rolling back the rule? Believe me, they do not want to play this game. The harm endured by a woman who is forced to bear her rapist’s baby, or bear any unwanted child, is lifelong. The “harm” endured by a doctor or pharmacist who is “forced” to do his or her job, the job for which he or she is paid, is simply non-existent; and here’s why.

No Bow?? Wow!!

The Dipping Dippity Dip

The Dipping Dippity Dip

Ok, we’ve all be joking around, and having quite a bit of fun, waiting for the press and White House to address the Obama Saudi Bow.  And boy, the wait was worth it.  We never dreamed there would actually be an official response from the WH.  And it’s a doozy!  We knew the bots would deny the bow and we dreamed up some pretty good excuses to help them through their denial:

Popped a contact lense

Picking up a penny

Had gas cramp

There was a spot on the carpet

Tying his shoe

Picking up a gold bar dropped by the King

Trying to read the teleprompter embedded in the toes of his shoes

Gum stuck to the bottom of his shoe

Brushing lint off his pants leg (but he doesn’t give a blip about the wrinkles)

Shaking hands with his nose

But, who would have ever thunk the Administration would actually try to float this lame brained tripe via Politico:

“It wasn’t a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he’s taller than King Abdullah,” said an Obama aide, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

And then on top of that, the OBC  (Obama Press Corp) tries to pass this poppy cock off by ending the article with this:

The video shows Obama dipping toward the king as G-20 leaders greet one another at the ExCel Centre in London.

We aint buying that codswallop Politico! Who are we to believe, them or our lying eyes?  Next thing you know, they’ll be denying this is a bow!

Michelles Bow

Michelle's Bow

P.S. Take a close look at King Abdullah’s face. Looks like Obama made his leg tingle too.
