Which Way Are We Going?
Continuing the lively discussion occasioned by Shtuey’s and Sheri’s excellent posts yesterday, I would like to put forth some ideas of my own as to how to make PUMA into a force to be reckoned with; a force for REAL change in America.
As Shtuey said so well yesterday, the glass is broken, not half empty or half full. 80% of Americans thought the country was going in the wrong direction with Bush. But the election of 2008 did not do what so many hoped; we got chump change. Barack Obama is doing his best to emulate Bush on the economic and “national security” fronts, while adding in his very special Barackian mixture of voter disdain and race-blaming. It’s truly a nightmare.
But as we are all realizing, it’s an opportunity as well.
