So What Else is New??
Updating my Christmas card list takes precedence over viewing the POS read the
TOTUS not to mention the pre-show BS spewed by all of MSM, as well as the lovefest which will follow. For years I watched MSM hurl garbage at us thinking how can they commit such lies and dribble to the public – all on video, preserved for posterity – thinking use for legal action againt such lies. Well, seems those sound bites, broadcasts were used as training manuals. Needless to say, I don’t watch anymore perferring to consume after it is “filtered” by trusted others.
I’m watching “Lie to Me.” It’s quite entertaining and at least the actors are giving convincing performances, unlike Barack “I am not a crook” Obama.
“FOCA is not legislative priority!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
I think he actually said “it is not my greatest priorty”, taggles.
Any one want to know whatt her said on July 17, 2007?
Responding to a question regarding how he would preserve reproductive rights in a speech given to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund on July 17, 2007, Obama declared, “The first thing I’d do, as president, is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That’s the first thing that I’d do.”[5] (Wikipedia)
Sorry, I was so mad when I typed that, that I couldn’t type straight.
Guess, we were looking up the same thing at the same time, taggles. Damn him!
Either way, he fucking lied, and there will be two tapes side-by-side tomorrow all over the blogs, proving he lied.
Obviously Obama has been reading my posts! LOL
Barack, darling, abortion is 100% about women’s freedom. You need to shut your f*cking mouth, you misogynistic pig!
I swear to Gawd, by the time 2012 comes along not one woman will vote for that POS. Not one!!!!
Taggles, can you link the video of his words tonight on the FOCA side by side with the video from planned parenthood?
LOL, damn you taggles!
I WANT TO TYPE IN ALL CAPS RIGHT NOW!!!!
Just googled the quote is already spreading:
Obama: “I think those who are pro choice make a mistake if they suggest … that this is simply an issue about women’s freedom and there’s no other considerations.”
More: “The Freedom of Choice Act is not my highest legislative priority. I believe women should have the right to choose. But I think the most important thing we can do to tamp down some of the anger surrounding this issue is to focus on some of those areas we can agree on.”
July 2007: “The first thing I’d do, as president, is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That’s the first thing that I’d do.”
April 2009: “The Freedom of Choice Act is not my highest legislative priority.”
NO HE DI-UH!!!!!!!!!!!
So, NOW, NARAL…how ya feeling about those endorsements now, you scumsucking, self-serving, hypocritical jerks?!
I would forgive Michelle for marrying him right now, if she would pull his little dried out purple lips off his face when he gets home.
LOLOLOLOL taggles! I can hear your voice saying taggles HAKA! I am collapsing into giggles right now!!!
But seriously…Every feminist blog should write about this tomorrow! Kick his sorry misogynistic ass!!!
Anyone feel like doing this:
Oh please, Michelle buys into his crap. Yet another reason I refuse to be nice to her or give her a break. She helped put Hillary and Sarah down and push this woman-hating coward into the White House.
I see the dateline on the MS mag is April 24th. I wonder if they’ll change their minds?
Do you have any suggestions as to where they can put their magazine, taggles?
contentsuggestions@msmagazine.com
Angie, glad you didn’t hold back.
No way he repealed the conscience rule, Cinie. Couldn’t happen till Sibelius was confirmed. And in any case, he said he’d probably rewrite it, not repeal it.
Poor Obie feels like he’s not liked on certain news channels. (It’s always about him ya know)
And taggles…it already HAS led to two forced pregnancies. One poor woman became pregnant by her rapist because some pharmacist decided the morning-after pill was
“wrong.”
Why the fuck does Obama think we’re angry?????
As Naomi Wolf said, HELLLLLOOOOOOO!!!
If he thinks this is going to win him any points from the right he’s seriously delusional.
DYB-we’ll have to see how the mags like MS and other groups spin this shit.
Although, I don’t see any way you can spin it.
Wait, what do we agree on?
Regency-womens’ choice? Right??
taggles you’re right. this isn’t about posturing, this is what obama really believes.
And the difficult thing is we do not have a body of votes to see how he actually has voted on this. There’s nothing there to view.
“the Freedom of Choice Act is not highest legislative priority”
He’ll blame Congress for not getting the bill to him. That’s how he will get out of it. He left out the word “my”.
Oh okay Regency. There’s nothing those two groups will agree on. Adoption? Hey we’re all for that.
taggles, trying to remember if anything came up during his **brief** Senate career and can’t remember. And I have no idea about when he was in the IL State Senate.
If there’s anything that pisses me off, it’s when a man pats me on the head and tells me to stop being angry while he takes away my freedom and my dignity.
I am angry because you treat me and my sisters like dirt on your shoulder, Barack Obama. Don’t you tell me to tone down my feelings and sing kumbaya with my oppressors. FUCK YOU!
Regency-is prenatal care covered under CHIP or WIC? I would think prenatal care is covered **somewhere** under a program.
GCH: “Hypocrites R US “
Come on, the right wing is not dealing honestly here. We know that. If they had their way we’d all be in burkas.
There is no way I agree with one word they say.
If there’s anything that pisses me off, it’s when a man pats me on the head and tells me to stop being angry while he takes away my freedom and my dignity
Madamab-that’s when you kick him in the balls.
Way to go, angie. I left a message for Marcia A. Pappas.
I just watched the Red Sox beat Cleveland. Had I known this was to be a open blog about The First 100 Days of Glory and All the Rest of the Bullshit, I would have come online. Sorry I missed the fun.
Did someone offer taggles a Xanax yet?? And angie was sure up to par tonight!
Oh my Jeebus, no they didn’t compare TelePrompter Man to FDR.
I think my head just rotated 360 degrees and the furniture is starting to move by itself!
In addition to the hypocracy, betrayal, dishonesty, and illogic(how can choice be about anything other than freedom) of his words, there was also his disgusting sarcastic tone when he said “passing foca is not my top legislative priority.” It was said so dismissively, with such disdain, as if to say “don’t you think I have more important things to think about than the stupid problems of women.”
You know, that sarcastic supercilious tone he has. As if he were talking about a law about changing the color of drapes in the White House. Oh, right. That would be more important. After golf and workouts and Wednesday night parties and…..
The scary part is I’m afraid women’s groups and left groups are going to totally ignore the whole thing. I hope I’m wrong. I had to turn off the MSM comments before I threw up, but I didn’t hear one word about how outrageous this was.
Did he actually utter those words! That lying sack of sh*t!!! This almost One Party System must make him think that he is invulnerable in the future. What a classic asshole. Sounds like something you would hear uttered in a barroom at closing time.
Now I am pissed off at this hour of the night. angie, some FU please!!! I hate this man.
Well, my local news is all swine flu, all the time. The only stuff from Obama’s speech they showed was the part about the “pandemic” that has killed all of 8 people.
I call pig poop!
Now where are those fabulous women’s groups so eager to kiss his shiny, skinny, lying ass? Didn’t we say right from the get go that he was not to be trusted? Yes! Did we not say from outset that he had no principles to stand on? Yes! Did we not say from Day One that he did not support women? Yes!
Then goddammit, somebody explain to me how he got to be POTUS?
Pat – scroll up for some choice fuck you’s from me and Angie!
madamab: And I was so happy that the Sox won and probably should just have taken my book and gone straight to bed. But no, I had to have one more look around and now my b.p. is sky high. I loathe him.
It only took the First 100 Days to skewer women upfront and personal. The lying bastard.
Good night all. Once more with feeling:
FUCK YOU BARACK OBAMA!
Pig poop is adorable! And the reference to the turkey sandwich made me laugh out loud. You guys are too funny which is a good thing since so much of this stuff is heartbreaking.
It was so weird watching him say this live because no one there reacted at all. I almost thought I heard it wrong, when he said FOCA is about ethics and morals, not about women’s freedom.
At first my Obot BF missed it, too, until I started screaming “What the f*ck? What the f*ck?” about a hundred times. (I couldn’t think of anything else to say.)
Then, it was, I have to go online. I was pretty sure there’d be an uproar here. It helped to know the rest of you would be going WTF too.
Good letter, angie. I’ll write them tomorrow, too. Stupid morons.
angie: Too funny! As usual! This is pathetic. I could not tune him in tonight even if my Sox weren’t playing. He is such an asshole. Wonder how his Obot crowd will spin his answer! Oh wait, he is still “studying” it. Pathetic.
I think we all need to start studying Sharia Law.
Sorry guys, but I am still giggling at a lot of these comments. Sorry I missed out.
Go Angela!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“I am angry because you treat me and my sisters like dirt on your shoulder, Barack Obama. Don’t you tell me to tone down my feelings and sing kumbaya with my oppressors. FUCK YOU!”
madamab i totally 100% share your view but I gotta say there is some cognitive dissonance for me when I read “FUCK YOU!” on comments from you and angienc with your smiling happy faces attached!
(maybe you could make a back-up angry face GRRR avatar?)
but seriously, I think this is pretty effing BAD. thanks for putting it so well.
” Because 52% of the population is even fucking dumber than he is.”
lol!
I thought George W had lowered the bar enough that only a snake could crawl under. Looks like I was right once again.
angienc, yep — and there’s something about that that makes it even scarier!
it’s really uplifting to be able to visit puma sites and just KNOW that people like you will be reacting honestly and with an untempered (though smiling!) FUCK YOU to that jackass and the jackasses he rode in on.
taggles: You must have been over the moon! Billy sounds like a great little player. My 6 yr old granddaughter called me tonight just to say her team “won”. So cute! Baseball, IMHO, is the most perfect game ever invented. A true metaphor of life.
I went over to cinie’s place.
Nothing is funnier than when angie and taggles get all riled up! Just sit back, relax and enjoy the show! Love it
Baseball was the one game I could follow. Football, to violent and I never got the rules. Basketball, too boring. Hockey was fast but those sidechecks were much too violent for my taste. Ex hubby used to take me to all the games. Baseball was my fave and I became a fan. In MA, that means RED SOX NATION.
angie: You always have. XXOO
Invalid: Welcome!
cinie is one great writer. She uses humor so effectively in making a point. That takes a great deal of talent. Actually, when you look around the net itself, there are a lot of excellent writers out there. This blog alone has captured quite a few.
Reasoned pieces. Thought provoking. The words often slide off the page. It is a pleasure to read.
angie: What team do you root for down there?
taggles: I just love little Dustin Pedroia. When they talk about “Charlie Hustle” he wears that one well. A little guy loaded with determination. When he comes to bat I feel confident of something happening. A great addition to the team. And thank God we never did get A Rod!
Most catchers kind of look that way. Remember Yogi?
I’m fucking going to bed. LOL
Latda: Funny! Good night!
angie: You can take the boy out of Boston but you can never take the Boston (Red Sox) out of the boy. And yes, Jeter is hot. Those eyes!
Boo: angie says it like it is, that is what makes angie angie. We love her to pieces!
I have such misgivings about BO. If this is how he treats the domestic agenda with regard to women’s issues and human rights, what will he do in terms of the crisis brewing in the mideast? I have almost zero belief in him.
I watched a movie the other night,”True Confessions”, with Deniro and Duvall. The supporting cast had Ed Flanders, Charles Durning, Kenneth McMillan. One of the best ensemble company of actors assembled for one film. Duvall’s character was played against the subtly of Deniro and it was fantastic. The film never was a big hit but it is worth watching to see performances of that level and stature on the screen. An overlooked gem.
angie: Get over it. taggles just hit you below the belt with a Yankee reference!
I see the calender has just changed over to April 30th. It was my birthday as of the 29th. Heading into another year. Jesus, Mary and Joseph!!
happy birthday Pat J!
But angie, the Red Sox give us up here so much. We live with their highs and lows. We never know what will happen. The Yankees always had the momentum but the Sox, well they just kept on going. We absolutely fall in love with our players. When the Yawkey family owned the Sox it was like family. Dependable, you know? Not like the Yanks who hired and fired managers more often than Jennifer Aniston does boyfriends.
The Sox are our team, win or lose. Unlike the Yankee fans who desire to get their money’s worth, we love them no matter what.
Thanks, Murph!! Just another friggin’ day.
What else was last year on the 29th?
Was that just one year ago? My god, it seems like last year was decades past. The longest primary season ever! Two years of bullshit and this is what we got. Amazing!
Yeah, we are a lot like loons up here with our Red Sox. And I know that taggles and Murphy would agree, when you enter Fenway Park for the first time, or even after a long spell, you cannot help but get swept away in the majesty of it. I know it sounds sappy, but it is so true. It gets you somewhere in the solar plexus and remains forever. No other stadium offers that.
Rev. Wright. God, if there was ever a character created for literature it is Rev. Wright. A snake oil salesman making his pitch.
I am off to bed. taggles, you did real good, Lady!
angie, what they all have in common is their sheer lack of integrity. It is that one lack of ingredient that makes them all the same.
Anyone still around?
IVR: LOL!!
Crap, I missed the party. Happy belated birthday Pat J. Though I track the Mets, I totally get the Bosox thing. Fenway is like the big backyard down the block, love Pedroia, Ortiz, Varitek. Manny looks lost in LA. His Genius should have stayed in Boston. True Confessions is a classic. I’ll watch Duvall and Deniro in anything. Tender Mercies is also good angie. And I remember Duvall doing Boo in the last minute of Mockingbird. You know your movies.
Nothing slaps the face of blatant injustice faster and harder than taggles, madamab, angie – at least online where the hard body checks begin these days. I can’t think of another politician at the presidential level who has disrespected Roe v Wade in quite this way for political gain, cause I don’t think this is about personal conviction, he doesn’t have any, he’s a floater. He’s breaking his pledge on FOCA because he thinks he can gain ground to the right without any vocal objection from the left. The women’s rights groups better step up. He’s going to use the same move issue after issue. He needs to feel a hard blow to the chest from someone or something to stand him up. What an absolute prick.
Well, this is generous..
sorry all fuzzy was exausted so went to bed early got 12 hours of hibernation…fill good this am I see I missed nothing about this POS Pampers in Chief lying peice of blovating flatulent gas bag…he has no shame!
When all else fails Pampers Talk at “The People” not to the People…I swear that Carl Rove is at the TOTUS tonight…Rove must be laffing his ass off.
OK 100 days of this is enough can we have Hillary now…pretty please?
[...] about abortion, or that FOCA shit this time, and, with the way I feel about it right now, the bitches are gonna blow. Shit. Fuckin’ Ed. Oh, well, guess I’ll be patting a couple NARAL chicks on the [...]
Sheri – thank you for this post and providing a place for like minded posters last night. While cruising this AM to check the “pulse” in Bloggdom, I found this lifted from transcripts of POS’s speech at a former haunt. It is part of his answer to Ed Henry’s question regarding his position on women’s rights.
“So — so that has been my consistent position. The other thing that I said consistently during the campaign is I would like to reduce the number of unwanted presidencies that result in women feeling compelled to get an abortion, or at least considering getting an abortion, particularly if we can reduce the number of teen pregnancies, which has started to spike up again.”
The typo – unwanted presidencies – is hysterical to me. If only we could prevent unwanted presidencies – LOL
On a more serious note – the thread was written by someone on a legal Democratic blog that said in response to this:’His proposal to reduce unwanted pregnancies (also known as birth control) is a welcome one for pro-choicers. It is also a Trojan Horse for anti-choicers. They oppose family planning. The obtuse William Saletan has never understood this and makes a fool of himself periodically on the issue. No doubt he has a column today praising Obama for this “new position” for progressives. It is not new, but it is meritorious. It will not bridge the “ideological divide” as Obama says, nor frankly, do I expect he thinks it will. But it is good politics for him.’
And to his explanation of his “stand” on Torture: ‘First, Obama’s excuses for the adoption of the Bush state secrets doctrine by his Justice Department was pure unadulterated bullspit. It was a bald faced lie. But pols are pols, and do what they do. The more important point is that the President of the United States has now embraced, in essence, the proposed legislation limiting the states secrets doctrine’ blah, blah, blah.
I guess it takes a wet noodle to prop up a wet noodle. Oh so nuanced, so civil. This is from a blog I left because they embraced POS after the illegal actions of the RBC – never addressed this action at all.
After reading what some other left blogs take away on the 100 days speech was – I realize I was in the right place for me last night. Thanks for being here.

I’m so grateful for Will & Grace to keep me entertained.
