I’m so grateful for Will & Grace to keep me entertained.

wth?? did anyone see this????? this is what passes for news…’

Sorry, guess I can’t post under this thread, I would have loved to watch him, but there is dust on top of my refrigerator, so I will have to get that cleaned up, instead of watching Pres.OENOUGHALREADY.

that would be more productful!

alright, i am watching. he said he believes the previous admin tortured and it was wrong.

he feels confident nuclear weapons will remain out of militant hands in Pakistan.

more work needs to be done politically in iraq, so that is why he called for a gradual v. precipitious withdrawal.

bologne!

divvying up oil, sunni v. shiite, same bs that has been going on for 6 years there.

he thinks very highly of Arlen Specter, legislative accomplishment, independent streak. says specter won’t be lockstep.

specter will be liberated to cooperate on h/c, infrastructure and jobs.

god, someone help me here, please!

he doesn’t expect everyone to agree with him.

just asking… should I feel confident because he says he feels confident??? …. I mean really, his pattern is that what he says….. he does not tend to follow through on…and when all else fails his line is “Well, I screwed up”……

not exactly a high endorsement in confidence building …. could just be me …..

just thinking out loud here

sorry Taggles,

I would watch, but while cleaning the top of the fridge I found dust behind it also……

I’m better I will find some under it next…. just a suspicion

betting/ not better

Freedom of Choice Act, does he still hope congress sends it to him to sign.

Answer: Abortion is a moral and ethical issue. this is not an issue simply of women’s freedom.

Says women don’t take it casually and struggle and are better to make it better than members of congress. Doctors, family clergy to help them make decision.

Wants to reduce teen pregnancies. he has a task force that is working with groups, pro choice and pro life to see if they can arrive on concensus on that.

FOCA is not legislative priority!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He wants to tamp down anger and to focus on areas we can agree on!

OMG!!!!!!

Updating my Christmas card list takes precedence over viewing the POS read the
TOTUS not to mention the pre-show BS spewed by all of MSM, as well as the lovefest which will follow. For years I watched MSM hurl garbage at us thinking how can they commit such lies and dribble to the public – all on video, preserved for posterity – thinking use for legal action againt such lies. Well, seems those sound bites, broadcasts were used as training manuals. Needless to say, I don’t watch anymore perferring to consume after it is “filtered” by trusted others.

what a POS!!!! My head is going to explode!

Every women’s group who supported this LOSER should hang their heads in shame!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m watching “Lie to Me.” It’s quite entertaining and at least the actors are giving convincing performances, unlike Barack “I am not a crook” Obama.

I am watching the same thing, but it’s a different show!

oh thanks God I am not watching it… I would have to buy a new tv on that one…..

surprise, surprise, surprise….. women are (again) not a priority…..

I’m re-watching Tender Mercies with Robert Duval.

Did he really say abortion is “about more than a woman’s choice” or did I misread that? ’cause if he is, I’m going mid-evil on Naomi Wolfe’s ass.

he is a f*ckin liar! he is a LIAR.

“First thing I would do as President is sign FOCA!!!!” ~obama at planned parenthood.

he said it as I wrote above, angie

“FOCA is not legislative priority!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

I think he actually said “it is not my greatest priorty”, taggles.

Any one want to know whatt her said on July 17, 2007?

Responding to a question regarding how he would preserve reproductive rights in a speech given to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund on July 17, 2007, Obama declared, “The first thing I’d do, as president, is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That’s the first thing that I’d do.”[5] (Wikipedia)

Para bailar Obamba! Everybody! C’mon!

Sorry, I was so mad when I typed that, that I couldn’t type straight.

did he say this is not simply an issue of women’s freedom????? latda?

i believe that is word for word, am I wrong?

Guess, we were looking up the same thing at the same time, taggles. Damn him!

well, for the millionth time: Obama can kiss my ass.

that’s ok, Latda.. we all know str8 ain’t your thing….. I feel it is greatly overrated ;)

Either way, he fucking lied, and there will be two tapes side-by-side tomorrow all over the blogs, proving he lied.

how can he say this is not simply an issue of women’s freedom????? WTF???

Obviously Obama has been reading my posts! LOL

Barack, darling, abortion is 100% about women’s freedom. You need to shut your f*cking mouth, you misogynistic pig!

it is that gawd damn simple obamamoron! lying sack!

I swear to Gawd, by the time 2012 comes along not one woman will vote for that POS. Not one!!!!

i am pretty sure i got the wording right. why am I the only one watching???? LOL

Ms. magazine can kiss my ass too.

God, the list of people that can kiss my ass is long.

it’s over, i will be getting the transcript as soon as available for all you who couldn’t bear to watch it live! Ha! you will suffer too and it will be prolonged!

taggles HAKA!

Taggles, can you link the video of his words tonight on the FOCA side by side with the video from planned parenthood?

LOL, damn you taggles!

I WANT TO TYPE IN ALL CAPS RIGHT NOW!!!!

bah — I’m going back to Tender Mercies.

I can’t believe he said it. there will be hell to pay tomorrow and if there isn’t, there will be hell to pay!

bah, bah, bah, i can always make you suffer next sunday angie! there is no escaping! LOL Ha!
;-)

Just googled the quote is already spreading:

Obama: “I think those who are pro choice make a mistake if they suggest … that this is simply an issue about women’s freedom and there’s no other considerations.”

More: “The Freedom of Choice Act is not my highest legislative priority. I believe women should have the right to choose. But I think the most important thing we can do to tamp down some of the anger surrounding this issue is to focus on some of those areas we can agree on.”

July 2007: “The first thing I’d do, as president, is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That’s the first thing that I’d do.”

April 2009: “The Freedom of Choice Act is not my highest legislative priority.”

i am ready for a fight. gandy and the rest of these “womens leaders” betterhang him by the _ _ _ _ _ for this tomorrow!

but I aint holding my breath!

I just caught the tail end of Dickless Morris actually stating that he thought BO was going to have a major problem with various groups due to his “FOCA not being a high priority” statement. I thought that was significant coming from him.

NO HE DI-UH!!!!!!!!!!!

So, NOW, NARAL…how ya feeling about those endorsements now, you scumsucking, self-serving, hypocritical jerks?!

i was sleepy, but i am wide awake right now! will prolly be up all night. What a creepy son of a prick! WTF, i feel like i am living in the 1700′s.

the, this is not simply women’s rights issue, is what has got me going.

campaign promises are broken, that is bad enough.

He truly doesn’t give a fuck. No suprise to us, but it was still mind jolting to actually hear him talk like that. Wake the hell up ladies in charge!

oh and then all the people us little women will go to for advice!

he is a PIG!

only one thing that is going to piss me off more then him saying it… is when womens rights groups start trying to defend it and/or excuse it away tomorrow….. I so hope I am wrong and taggles is right and they will hang his ass on this one

HELP!

taggles HAKA!

I would forgive Michelle for marrying him right now, if she would pull his little dried out purple lips off his face when he gets home.

LOLOLOLOL taggles! I can hear your voice saying taggles HAKA! I am collapsing into giggles right now!!!

But seriously…Every feminist blog should write about this tomorrow! Kick his sorry misogynistic ass!!!

even knowing what I know, to hear him put it so plainly and bluntly has sent me over the edge.

Anyone feel like doing this:

Oh please, Michelle buys into his crap. Yet another reason I refuse to be nice to her or give her a break. She helped put Hillary and Sarah down and push this woman-hating coward into the White House.

LOL Fredster!

I see the dateline on the MS mag is April 24th. I wonder if they’ll change their minds?

Ok — I couldn’t stay away — have I mentioned lately how much I loathe that stupid, empty headed moron Obama? I hate him with the heat of a 1000 suns. The only people dumber than that asshole are the people who voted for him. It isn’t only an issue of women’s freedom? What the fuck else is it about you massively wrong asshole? How many MEN do I need to check with before I take a shit?

Of course, none of us should be surprised — we witnessed the public rape of Hillary & Sarah so that this douche bag could have his chance to “play President.” Hey, Camilla Paglia –kiss my ass. Gloria Steinman — kiss my ass. Naomi Wolfe — kiss my ass. Ms. magazine — kiss my ass. Kim Gandy — kiss my ass. Obama — Mr. Christmas, New Years & Hanukkah rolled into one — just told all of you that women do not matter — we aren’t entitled to freedom.

What the hell, we are only mentioned one time in the entire US Constitution — in the 19th Amendment. So all of the stupid Obots will defend this & you know what? They will be RIGHT. This is OUR fault for allowing these sons of bitches to keep on playing us for this long. Seriously, where the fuck is the ERA?!?!?!? How many fucking times can we “wait?” We’ve been waiting for 30 fucking years & yet we keep voting for these morons.

Every single person who voted for this piece of shit can kiss my ass.

I’m in moderation — I think I used to many bad words.

It is the lamest list I have ever read. they don’t give up. the democratic party must be paying these women to write that shit.

Do you have any suggestions as to where they can put their magazine, taggles?

contentsuggestions@msmagazine.com

Angie, glad you didn’t hold back.

Did Obama repeal the conscious rule? Ms. Magazine said he did, and I know he said he would, but I don’t remember he actually did it. I know he didn’t do it on Feb. 27.

Do you think part of his obnoxious performance was aimed at mollifying Notre Dame in anticipation of his obnoxious performance there, considering the fire he is generating among observant Catholics?

OMG, was writing a post and missed the fireworks. I’m just reading the comments now, but wtf, he said what????

No way he repealed the conscience rule, Cinie. Couldn’t happen till Sibelius was confirmed. And in any case, he said he’d probably rewrite it, not repeal it.

Cinie,

this is what is said:

“Moved to rescind the Bush administration’s “conscience” clause—which could have let health-care workers deny patients abortion and contraception”

Most people move something once a day, if you get my drift. he did NOTHING. the conscience rule still stands to this day.

Poor Obie feels like he’s not liked on certain news channels. (It’s always about him ya know)

And taggles…it already HAS led to two forced pregnancies. One poor woman became pregnant by her rapist because some pharmacist decided the morning-after pill was
“wrong.”

here it is, in all it’s glory!

Ed Henry?

Q: Thank you, Mr. President. In a couple of weeks, you’re going to be giving the commencement at Notre Dame. And, as you know, this has caused a lot of controversy among Catholics who are opposed to your position on abortion.

As a candidate, you vowed that one of the very things you wanted to do was sign the Freedom of Choice Act, which, as you know, would eliminate federal, state and local restrictions on abortion. And at one point in the campaign when asked about abortion and life, you said that it was above — quote, above my pay grade.

Now that you’ve been president for 100 days, obviously, your pay grade is a little higher than when you were a senator.

Do you still hope that Congress quickly sends you the Freedom of Choice Act so you can sign it?

OBAMA: You know, the — my view on — on abortion, I think, has been very consistent. I think abortion is a moral issue and an ethical issue.
I think that those who are pro-choice make a mistake when they — if they suggest — and I don’t want to create straw men here, but I think there are some who suggest that this is simply an issue about women’s freedom and that there’s no other considerations. I think, look, this is an issue that people have to wrestle with and families and individual women have to wrestle with.
OBAMA:

The reason I’m pro-choice is because I don’t think women take that — that position casually. I think that they struggle with these decisions each and every day. And I think they are in a better position to make these decisions ultimately than members of Congress or a president of the United States, in consultation with their families, with their doctors, with their clergy.

So — so that has been my consistent position. The other thing that I said consistently during the campaign is I would like to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies that result in women feeling compelled to get an abortion, or at least considering getting an abortion, particularly if we can reduce the number of teen pregnancies, which has started to spike up again.

And so I’ve got a task force within the Domestic Policy Council in the West Wing of the White House that is working with groups both in the pro-choice camp and in the pro-life camp, to see if we can arrive at some consensus on that.
Now, the Freedom of Choice Act is not highest legislative priority. I believe that women should have the right to choose. But I think that the most important thing we can do to tamp down some of the anger surrounding this issue is to focus on those areas that we can agree on. And that’s — that’s where I’m going to focus.

what a fucking asshole.

Why the fuck does Obama think we’re angry?????

As Naomi Wolf said, HELLLLLOOOOOOO!!!

If he thinks this is going to win him any points from the right he’s seriously delusional.

This crap is definitely not winning him any fans on the right. But I’m not seeing the left screaming either; at least no one who hasn’t been screaming all along.

DYB-we’ll have to see how the mags like MS and other groups spin this shit.
Although, I don’t see any way you can spin it.

Wait, what do we agree on?

I do not believe this is political posturing. I believe we have a Democratic President who doesn’t give two shits about reproductive freedoms. Personally, he does not believe in abortion and he feels it is wrong.

He is only saying he is pro choice to get votes from the left.

I just wrote to Ms. Magazine:

Obama’s First 100 days “Great strides for women” — are you serious? Would that be his announcement that the Freedom of Choice Act (the one he said he would sign “as his first act” if elected) isn’t a “priority” for him & that abortion is “not only about women’s freedom?” Or would that be his creation of a do-nothing office of “Women and Girls” that has no offices, no agenda & no money?

You should just spare us all & change your name to MiSogyny Magazine. After all not only did you stand by silently while Obama & crew publicly raped Hillary Clinton & Sarah Palin (and yes, even if you disagree with a woman’s political positions you should complain when she is publicly raped — that is how feminism works, since you don’t seem to know) you actually endorsed him! And make no mistake — when you voted for Obama you voted FOR Hillary Clinton “nutcrackers” and “Nailin’ Palin” porn videos.

You are nothing more than a tool of the patriarchy. I hope it pays well.

Sleep well,

(my full real name).

Why don’t y’all join in the fun?

“mkort@msmagazine.com”

taggles you’re right. this isn’t about posturing, this is what obama really believes.

Regency-womens’ choice? Right??

Fredster: I meant us and the pro-life community. I’m riffing off what O-Face said about focusing on what the two communities agree on instead of abortion. What is that exactly?

taggles you’re right. this isn’t about posturing, this is what obama really believes.

And the difficult thing is we do not have a body of votes to see how he actually has voted on this. There’s nothing there to view.

“the Freedom of Choice Act is not highest legislative priority”

He’ll blame Congress for not getting the bill to him. That’s how he will get out of it. He left out the word “my”.

a bunch of present votes, as i recall. I will have to review it. Does anyone remember??

Fredster — I think Regency meant what do those of us who are pro-choice & those of us who are anti-choice agree on, since that is what Obama wants to focus on — and that would be . . .

Oh okay Regency. There’s nothing those two groups will agree on. Adoption? Hey we’re all for that.

Good letter, angie! I approve of that message!

ummm, the Democrats have just about given up on reproductive freedoms, so there should be plenty to agree about.

Many using the meme, “it’s a hot button issue” for cover.

taggles, trying to remember if anything came up during his **brief** Senate career and can’t remember. And I have no idea about when he was in the IL State Senate.

The two groups agree on things like better pre-natal care for poor women, better /more affordable day care, and other issues involving working/single mothers. Basically things to do with the child AFTER a woman chooses to have it. Up until that point, though, there is no agreement (obvs.)

If there’s anything that pisses me off, it’s when a man pats me on the head and tells me to stop being angry while he takes away my freedom and my dignity.

I am angry because you treat me and my sisters like dirt on your shoulder, Barack Obama. Don’t you tell me to tone down my feelings and sing kumbaya with my oppressors. FUCK YOU!

since that is what Obama wants to focus on — and that would be . . .
______________

probably turkey sandwiches for lunch… (only thing they have found to agree on so far)

DYB — thank you. Please join me & send one of your own. Everyone — flood stupid Michelle Kort ‘s (Senior Editor of MiSogyny Magazine) inbox.

But seriously, let’s please expand adoption and pre-natal care for poor women. That would make my day. Now, can we manage to do that without encroaching on what little of reproductive freedom remains? Please, say yes.

that’s all a bunch of crap anyway, because the same right wing jackasses who say that women shouldn’t have reproductive rights, and that abortion should be illegal, turn around and start screaming about “welfare queens” and government handouts to women as soon as that baby is born.

Regency-is prenatal care covered under CHIP or WIC? I would think prenatal care is covered **somewhere** under a program.

yep, and then put women in jail for latch key kids.

it is about control, NOTHING else!

GCH: “Hypocrites R US “

gary — don’t shot the messenger — I’m just repeating the talking points. Maybe I should have prefaced it with “allegedly the two groups agree on”

Come on, the right wing is not dealing honestly here. We know that. If they had their way we’d all be in burkas.

There is no way I agree with one word they say.

Sheri

If there’s anything that pisses me off, it’s when a man pats me on the head and tells me to stop being angry while he takes away my freedom and my dignity

Madamab-that’s when you kick him in the balls.

taggles – no Obama’s “swagga” is not news
angienc – good to see u, i’ve missed ur colorful language
dyb – ur correct, folks on the right despise BO more and more each day

everyone – hi! I’ve missed you. :) I disagree with 75% of what you say, but geez you’re fun!!

angie, I wasn’t directing that at you, sorry if it came out that way. loved the email to MS. btw.

Way to go, angie. I left a message for Marcia A. Pappas.

thank you invalid, what were the present votes. I know there were some, but can’t remember the details….

AP thinks Obama=FDR:

Read the transcripts of FDR’s fireside chats. You’ll find that he spoke in plain, sometimes folksy language to methodically explain the nation’s problems and outline his proposed solutions. Agree or not with Obama’s politics, it’s hard to argue that he doesn’t communicate as effectively as Roosevelt.

you’ll need a large bucket to make it through the whole article.

Taggles,

he voted “Present” 130 Times in Illinois State Senate

not going to list them….nope not going to do it….. lol

Elderj! My favorite republican (after my daddy). Love you!!

LOL invalid, just the choice ones! lololol

I just watched the Red Sox beat Cleveland. Had I known this was to be a open blog about The First 100 Days of Glory and All the Rest of the Bullshit, I would have come online. Sorry I missed the fun.

Did someone offer taggles a Xanax yet?? And angie was sure up to par tonight!

luv u 2 angie… how’s the party over this way?

Oh my Jeebus, no they didn’t compare TelePrompter Man to FDR.

I think my head just rotated 360 degrees and the furniture is starting to move by itself!

Back to my old sailor-mouthed self is what Pat J means.

pat we are still here! chime in please, with some extra wit! I need it!

elderj — this is where the real party is — I’m here, ’nuff said! :-)

a silver candlestick just hit the mantle at my house. and it’s no mystery how that happened!

In addition to the hypocracy, betrayal, dishonesty, and illogic(how can choice be about anything other than freedom) of his words, there was also his disgusting sarcastic tone when he said “passing foca is not my top legislative priority.” It was said so dismissively, with such disdain, as if to say “don’t you think I have more important things to think about than the stupid problems of women.”
You know, that sarcastic supercilious tone he has. As if he were talking about a law about changing the color of drapes in the White House. Oh, right. That would be more important. After golf and workouts and Wednesday night parties and…..

The scary part is I’m afraid women’s groups and left groups are going to totally ignore the whole thing. I hope I’m wrong. I had to turn off the MSM comments before I threw up, but I didn’t hear one word about how outrageous this was.

Did he actually utter those words! That lying sack of sh*t!!! This almost One Party System must make him think that he is invulnerable in the future. What a classic asshole. Sounds like something you would hear uttered in a barroom at closing time.

Now I am pissed off at this hour of the night. angie, some FU please!!! I hate this man.

Well, my local news is all swine flu, all the time. The only stuff from Obama’s speech they showed was the part about the “pandemic” that has killed all of 8 people.

I call pig poop!

grrrrrrrrrr, searching…. but here is a start

he voted “present” in 1997 on measures that would have banned so-called “partial-birth” abortion and in 2001 on measures that would have required parental notification before a minor could receive an abortion.

Now where are those fabulous women’s groups so eager to kiss his shiny, skinny, lying ass? Didn’t we say right from the get go that he was not to be trusted? Yes! Did we not say from outset that he had no principles to stand on? Yes! Did we not say from Day One that he did not support women? Yes!

Then goddammit, somebody explain to me how he got to be POTUS?

Pat – scroll up for some choice fuck you’s from me and Angie!

Did anyone see these findings from the Center of Media and Public Affairs?

http://www.cmpa.com/media_room_press_12_2_08.htm

madamab: And I was so happy that the Sox won and probably should just have taken my book and gone straight to bed. But no, I had to have one more look around and now my b.p. is sky high. I loathe him.

It only took the First 100 Days to skewer women upfront and personal. The lying bastard.

it’s to partisan for him to take stand, lying sack of donkey sh#t!

Good night all. Once more with feeling:

FUCK YOU BARACK OBAMA!

Pig poop is adorable! And the reference to the turkey sandwich made me laugh out loud. You guys are too funny which is a good thing since so much of this stuff is heartbreaking.

Pat stay away from the ms. article linked above. you may not sleep for 5 days after reading that swill.

Pat J — your wish is my command, I’m not nearly fucking done with that fucking bag of horseshit Obama. There isn’t any fucking two parties — there are two fucking wings of the same fucking party — the Corporate party. All of us fucking suckers are just that — fucking suckers.

I read that somewhere (without the fucks) — no fucking idea where though.

thanks a bunch invalid!

Pat J — how did he get to be POTUS you ask? Because 52% of the population is even fucking dumber than he is.

Un-fucking-believable, but true.

It was so weird watching him say this live because no one there reacted at all. I almost thought I heard it wrong, when he said FOCA is about ethics and morals, not about women’s freedom.
At first my Obot BF missed it, too, until I started screaming “What the f*ck? What the f*ck?” about a hundred times. (I couldn’t think of anything else to say.)
Then, it was, I have to go online. I was pretty sure there’d be an uproar here. It helped to know the rest of you would be going WTF too.
Good letter, angie. I’ll write them tomorrow, too. Stupid morons.

angie: Too funny! As usual! This is pathetic. I could not tune him in tonight even if my Sox weren’t playing. He is such an asshole. Wonder how his Obot crowd will spin his answer! Oh wait, he is still “studying” it. Pathetic.

I think we all need to start studying Sharia Law.

Some of the “present” votes look like the contradict themselves (not surprising) I haven’t yet found a link to all of them together….. but some of them he voted no or yes on first reading and then “present on final reading”

can you imagine the next president after him? the bar has been set to the lowest rung. it’s so low a hamster could hurdle it.

Taggles

Oh, and all you stupid Obots who “want Obama to succeed” — y’all a bunch a r@cists. I never heard anyone talking about wanting FDR, or Clinton, or LBJ or JFK “to succeed” — know why? ‘Cause they were white. Your very saying you “want Obama to succeed” betrays your feelings that you don’t think a black man can’t.
Oh, and you idjits who keep yakking about how black people are “nicer” since Obama won — you’re a bunch of r@cists too. You are only noticing that black people are nice because now you have the balls to actually talk to some since you assuaged your white guilt by voting for Obama. Don’t worry, they won’t move in next door.

Fucking morons.

Sorry guys, but I am still giggling at a lot of these comments. Sorry I missed out.

Go Angela!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“I am angry because you treat me and my sisters like dirt on your shoulder, Barack Obama. Don’t you tell me to tone down my feelings and sing kumbaya with my oppressors. FUCK YOU!”

madamab i totally 100% share your view but I gotta say there is some cognitive dissonance for me when I read “FUCK YOU!” on comments from you and angienc with your smiling happy faces attached!

(maybe you could make a back-up angry face GRRR avatar?)

but seriously, I think this is pretty effing BAD. thanks for putting it so well.

Pat J — the Obots will not spin it — they will ignore it, like they always do women.

thanks speakstruth!

” Because 52% of the population is even fucking dumber than he is.”

lol!

I thought George W had lowered the bar enough that only a snake could crawl under. Looks like I was right once again.

Murphy — I’m from the South — I can say “fuck you” with a smile on face until the cows come home. :-)

well what’s the next creature that will reside in th WH?

a worm??

that’s lower than a snake!

angienc, yep — and there’s something about that that makes it even scarier!

it’s really uplifting to be able to visit puma sites and just KNOW that people like you will be reacting honestly and with an untempered (though smiling!) FUCK YOU to that jackass and the jackasses he rode in on.

These idiots are so fucking stupid I could make my cat POTUS if I had a billion dollars (and btw, he’d be better than Obama — he kills rats, he doesn’t appoint them to office).

hey pat,

billy hit a triple in the top of the last inning. the game was tied, his hit put them up two! they won!

Here, where the fuck did everyone go?

i’m still fuckin here, ang!

not sure where pat went. she was here a minute or two ago! she usually says good night!

taggles: You must have been over the moon! Billy sounds like a great little player. My 6 yr old granddaughter called me tonight just to say her team “won”. So cute! Baseball, IMHO, is the most perfect game ever invented. A true metaphor of life.

I went over to cinie’s place.

taggles — thank God I’m not alone.

Pat J — I agree — baseball is the perfect game.

Nothing is funnier than when angie and taggles get all riled up! Just sit back, relax and enjoy the show! Love it

yep, pat I was. he was proud of himself too. he has done it many times. this year has been tough for him because of the coach, but he is working through it.

Baseball is our family sport, too!

I loved Cinie’s most recent post — I don’t know how she can come up with the stuff she does.

what’s happening at cinie’s?

Pat J — I’m so glad that I amuse you! ;-)

I’m still the fuck here too… ;)

Baseball was the one game I could follow. Football, to violent and I never got the rules. Basketball, too boring. Hockey was fast but those sidechecks were much too violent for my taste. Ex hubby used to take me to all the games. Baseball was my fave and I became a fan. In MA, that means RED SOX NATION.

invalidresponse — good to see you’re still here. :-)

angie: You always have. XXOO

Invalid: Welcome!

cinie is one great writer. She uses humor so effectively in making a point. That takes a great deal of talent. Actually, when you look around the net itself, there are a lot of excellent writers out there. This blog alone has captured quite a few.

Reasoned pieces. Thought provoking. The words often slide off the page. It is a pleasure to read.

Pat J — I never could get into basketball because the squeaky noise the shoes make on the court. When I taught high school all my boys were good kids, but the football players were too rowdy; the baseball players were always the best behaved. I went to all the games (for all my boys) — that’s how I got to enjoy baseball.

angie: What team do you root for down there?

My family is Red Sox Nation all the way!!!! I miss Manny. I don’t care what anyone says about him. There is a hole in the batting order!

taggles: I just love little Dustin Pedroia. When they talk about “Charlie Hustle” he wears that one well. A little guy loaded with determination. When he comes to bat I feel confident of something happening. A great addition to the team. And thank God we never did get A Rod!

Thank god for that is right. that would have been a curse that lasted a millenium never mind nearly a century!

Did you notice how small variteks legs have gotten?

Most catchers kind of look that way. Remember Yogi?

Pat J — my dad is originally from Boston, so he is Red Sox all the way. I, of course, root for the Yankees, just to tick my Republican daddy off. He gets so mad every time I say anything about them — he calls them “the best team that money can buy” — as if that’s an insult! Besides, how can you not love the team that had both Joltin’ Joe Dimaggio & Lou Gehrig.

Plus, Derek Jeter is hot.

I’m fucking going to bed. LOL

Latda: Funny! Good night!

Latda — good fucking night!

It’s like the rest of the world has no pulse – who can listen to this POS spew and not react to the lies. Jeebus, are they dead? stupid? totally morally corrupt?

I loves me some angie gratuitous swearing – after reacting to Bu$hit’s bs all those years – I’m tired. Angie – you go girl. You call it like WE see it.

nighty night la-t-da! sweet fucking dreams! but not literally unless you want them!

angie: You can take the boy out of Boston but you can never take the Boston (Red Sox) out of the boy. And yes, Jeter is hot. Those eyes!

Boo: angie says it like it is, that is what makes angie angie. We love her to pieces!

Boo Radly — that is because they are zombies pacified by shiny sparkling trinkets. And Obama is the ultimate shiny sparkling trinket.

sort of like the yankees, angie! ;-)

btw Boo Radley –not only is To Kill a Mockingbird one of the best books ever, not only is the movie one of the best movies ever, but, I’m sure you know, that the first movie role for Robert Duval was Boo Radley.

Robert Duval is one of my absolute fav actors of all times.

I have such misgivings about BO. If this is how he treats the domestic agenda with regard to women’s issues and human rights, what will he do in terms of the crisis brewing in the mideast? I have almost zero belief in him.

he was just so blaise pat. and he says he has been consistent with this. yes he has been, we knew it. he has been consistently lying!

aw, I love you all to pieces too — don’t make me get in a soppy mood, dammit. I’m not done fuming! :-)

I watched a movie the other night,”True Confessions”, with Deniro and Duvall. The supporting cast had Ed Flanders, Charles Durning, Kenneth McMillan. One of the best ensemble company of actors assembled for one film. Duvall’s character was played against the subtly of Deniro and it was fantastic. The film never was a big hit but it is worth watching to see performances of that level and stature on the screen. An overlooked gem.

angie: Get over it. taggles just hit you below the belt with a Yankee reference!

taggles — are you saying my Yankees are a shiny sparkling trinket?!?!?! Tell me, how many times have the Red Sox won the World Series? 7. Yankees have won 26. Just sayin’.

I see the calender has just changed over to April 30th. It was my birthday as of the 29th. Heading into another year. Jesus, Mary and Joseph!!

yes, but do you agree Pat?! don’t leave me hanging out there all by myself, my fellow red sox nationer!

Happy B-Day Pat! Oh I wish I had known!

Guess what else was last year April 29?

Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday dear Pat J. Happy Birthday to you.

and many more!

happy birthday Pat J!

I am saying your beloved yankees have a lot in common with someone one.

But angie, the Red Sox give us up here so much. We live with their highs and lows. We never know what will happen. The Yankees always had the momentum but the Sox, well they just kept on going. We absolutely fall in love with our players. When the Yawkey family owned the Sox it was like family. Dependable, you know? Not like the Yanks who hired and fired managers more often than Jennifer Aniston does boyfriends.

The Sox are our team, win or lose. Unlike the Yankee fans who desire to get their money’s worth, we love them no matter what.

Pat J — you have “almost zero belief in Obama?” Well, you are more optomistic than I am.

Thanks, Murph!! Just another friggin’ day.

What else was last year on the 29th?

Pat J — I can relate to the Red Sox fan — I did grow up in New Orleans with the Saints. hee hee.

Y’all are just like my dad about the Yankees — like he says (with such contempt) “the best team money can buy.” I swear he almost spits when he says it! LOL

but it’s not true Taggles — hate them all you want, the Yankees actually do have talent & have a history & record to stand on — unlike Obama.

Obama presser where he finally threw the good rev. wright under the bus!

Pat J — the day the world was blessed with Pat J is NOT just another day.

Ten Hail Marys for you!

one that has been bought! now, don’t get too upset now angie, red sox and yankee fans are suppose to jibe one another for infinity!

Was that just one year ago? My god, it seems like last year was decades past. The longest primary season ever! Two years of bullshit and this is what we got. Amazing!

taggles — I know — I’m just jibbing you back. I’m laughing ’cause I hear my daddy with everything you all are saying!!

Yeah, Obama threw Rev. Wright under the bus right into his million dollar mansion in a lily-white neighborhood (which had been the plan from the get go — see Rev. Wright’s interview in the NYT at the start of the primary). And the morons bought it. God help us all.

Yeah, we are a lot like loons up here with our Red Sox. And I know that taggles and Murphy would agree, when you enter Fenway Park for the first time, or even after a long spell, you cannot help but get swept away in the majesty of it. I know it sounds sappy, but it is so true. It gets you somewhere in the solar plexus and remains forever. No other stadium offers that.

Rev. Wright. God, if there was ever a character created for literature it is Rev. Wright. A snake oil salesman making his pitch.

Anyone who has ever been to Fenway knows it’s different somehow. it just is. I think it’s us fans!

I am off to bed. taggles, you did real good, Lady!

Rev. Wright is a character all right — but even he has more integrity than Obama — that’s pretty scary.

I’m gonna try to doze off too! g’night everyone!

Night taggles!

I’ve got to go too — it’s been a lot of fucking fun, y’all!

Good night!!

angie, what they all have in common is their sheer lack of integrity. It is that one lack of ingredient that makes them all the same.

too true Pat J. too true.

Good night (for real). And happy birthday again!

oh ps. i think that wright press conference where the press wasn’t allowed to ask questions. it was just another speech! LOL

What a frickin farce, from day one!

Anyone still around?

IVR: LOL!!

Crap, I missed the party. Happy belated birthday Pat J. Though I track the Mets, I totally get the Bosox thing. Fenway is like the big backyard down the block, love Pedroia, Ortiz, Varitek. Manny looks lost in LA. His Genius should have stayed in Boston. True Confessions is a classic. I’ll watch Duvall and Deniro in anything. Tender Mercies is also good angie. And I remember Duvall doing Boo in the last minute of Mockingbird. You know your movies.

Nothing slaps the face of blatant injustice faster and harder than taggles, madamab, angie – at least online where the hard body checks begin these days. I can’t think of another politician at the presidential level who has disrespected Roe v Wade in quite this way for political gain, cause I don’t think this is about personal conviction, he doesn’t have any, he’s a floater. He’s breaking his pledge on FOCA because he thinks he can gain ground to the right without any vocal objection from the left. The women’s rights groups better step up. He’s going to use the same move issue after issue. He needs to feel a hard blow to the chest from someone or something to stand him up. What an absolute prick.

Well, this is generous..

Sorry I missed all the excitement, heard it was…an enchanted evening ;-)
here’s a GOP rep who thinks “GOP Presidents always had it tougher”

sorry all fuzzy was exausted so went to bed early got 12 hours of hibernation…fill good this am I see I missed nothing about this POS Pampers in Chief lying peice of blovating flatulent gas bag…he has no shame!

When all else fails Pampers Talk at “The People” not to the People…I swear that Carl Rove is at the TOTUS tonight…Rove must be laffing his ass off.

OK 100 days of this is enough can we have Hillary now…pretty please?

I missed a great fucking party! I shouldn’t have been fucking sleeping. This fucking day shift is killing me!

Happy fucking birthday, Pat!

[...] about abortion, or that FOCA shit this time, and, with the way I feel about it right now, the bitches are gonna blow.  Shit.  Fuckin’ Ed.  Oh, well, guess I’ll be patting a couple NARAL chicks on the [...]

Sheri – thank you for this post and providing a place for like minded posters last night. While cruising this AM to check the “pulse” in Bloggdom, I found this lifted from transcripts of POS’s speech at a former haunt. It is part of his answer to Ed Henry’s question regarding his position on women’s rights.

“So — so that has been my consistent position. The other thing that I said consistently during the campaign is I would like to reduce the number of unwanted presidencies that result in women feeling compelled to get an abortion, or at least considering getting an abortion, particularly if we can reduce the number of teen pregnancies, which has started to spike up again.”

The typo – unwanted presidencies – is hysterical to me. If only we could prevent unwanted presidencies – LOL

On a more serious note – the thread was written by someone on a legal Democratic blog that said in response to this:’His proposal to reduce unwanted pregnancies (also known as birth control) is a welcome one for pro-choicers. It is also a Trojan Horse for anti-choicers. They oppose family planning. The obtuse William Saletan has never understood this and makes a fool of himself periodically on the issue. No doubt he has a column today praising Obama for this “new position” for progressives. It is not new, but it is meritorious. It will not bridge the “ideological divide” as Obama says, nor frankly, do I expect he thinks it will. But it is good politics for him.’
And to his explanation of his “stand” on Torture: ‘First, Obama’s excuses for the adoption of the Bush state secrets doctrine by his Justice Department was pure unadulterated bullspit. It was a bald faced lie. But pols are pols, and do what they do. The more important point is that the President of the United States has now embraced, in essence, the proposed legislation limiting the states secrets doctrine’ blah, blah, blah.

I guess it takes a wet noodle to prop up a wet noodle. Oh so nuanced, so civil. This is from a blog I left because they embraced POS after the illegal actions of the RBC – never addressed this action at all.

After reading what some other left blogs take away on the 100 days speech was – I realize I was in the right place for me last night. Thanks for being here.
