Obama: “Not Helpful to Equate ME with BUSH”

OBUSHAMA

OBUSHAMA

According to Michael Isikoff on Rachel Maddow last night, leaders of Civil Rights groups and Civil Liberties groups met in an off the record meeting with Obama yesterday. The meeting was called by Obama and took place in the White House Cabinet Room. Obama, Emmanuel, Axelrod, Holder and Craig were there. The groups were there to voice their displeasure with Obama and his moving to the right (embracing Bush policies on torture, war, rendition, military tribunals etc). So, Obama wanted to try to reach out to these groups and bring them into the fold. In other words, try to get them to back off and keep their mouths shut. The leaders of the groups did not back down and voiced their grievances to Obama directly.

According to Isikoff, “Obama didn’t like that”, “Obama was complaining about the mess he was left by his predecessor”. When the groups pushed back, according to Isikoff, “Obama did not like it and stated it was not helpful to equate me with President Bush”.

Sources from the meeting tell Isikoff that Obama remains steadfast in his opposition to torture prosecutions and a truth commission. The reason for this is changing from just “looking forward” and “moving on”, “we don’t torture anymore” to — it is consuming too much time with congressional investigations and his staff is being side tracked with the issue. Obama was looking at Holder while explaining to the group that his Attorney General was spending way too much time on this. The groups continued to pressure Obama and stated that all those reasons for not having a truth commission are actually reasons to HAVE a truth commission.

Obama was having none of it. Then one member of the group asked if there could be atleast one prosecution for torture, to be used as a symbol, a trophy, to show that torture would not be tolerated again. Obama dismissed the idea immediately.

As Isikoff points out, Obama has been using the Justice Department as a screen to shield himself from criticism on these issues. He claims the Justice Department makes these decisions, and he has no control over it, afterall the DOJ is independent. Obots have been using this excuse as cover for Obama, but that is now blown out of the water. Obama himself answered the question and dismissed the idea of prosecutions for torture himself. Obviously, Obama is comparable to Bush and this proves the point even further. Bush politicized the Justice Department. It was no longer an independent law enforcement agency under Bush and it is the same way with an Obama administration. Political calculations outweigh all that hopey changey bull puckey emanating from the liars mouth for about two years now.

Wake UP Obots, Obama does not have some secret liberal plan. He is not playing masterful chess and he is not three moves ahead of the Republicans, about to ensnare them in some trap that exists only in your mind. He is using your political naivete (I’m being nice, I really mean political stupidity) to trudge on with his march to the right. Just face up to the fact that you have been had. It’s really not that hard. Just admit it. He snookered you. He bamboozled you. His words are read from a teleprompter and don’t come from the heart. He is not a “Democrat”. It’s one thing to get scammed, but to continue on with the charade only makes you complicit. There is no plausible deniability. Your President is a FRAUD and you voted for him believing in the Axelrod marketing campaign. Now it’s time to get your head out of your ass and force him to do what he said he would do. He’s a political calculator, who won’t do the right thing. He will only do the least politically risky thing. Even if that means hopping into bed with Right Wing Republicans. Stop enabling him. Damn FOOLS.

You can see the video here:

To prove the point further:

H/T Not Your Sweetie

Obama Doesn’t Want Wilson/Plame to have their day in court!

P.S. Don’t forget Obama and Cheney will be dueling today. For some reason I am reminded of this:

Obama is having a lot of uncomfortable visits to the white house these days. He and michelle recently snubbed Judy Shepard when she visited to mark the passage of the Matthew Shepard Act against hate crimes:

Upon arriving at the White House on Wednesday, Shepard first met with the president in the Oval Office. The meeting was short — “It was supposed to be 10 minutes, but his meeting beforehand ran long and I only had a minute or so with him,”

She was then ushered to a luncheon hosted by Michelle Obama. “It was me and about 80 other people,” she said, adding that she wasn’t able to speak one-on-one with the first lady.

The hostess doesn’t have the time to talk to the guest of honor? BS. Barack and Michelle are nothing but biogted homophobes.

But yar are Bush! Yar are!

So Bush-like disgusting! Look at this latest crap!

But Obama sure wants Citibank and his other banker cronies to get all of yours and theirs!

“Cronyism continues for top ambassador spot – bankster goes to London
by Chris in Paris on 5/21/2009 05:01:00 AM
For years the UK has been the spot for top financial donors to US Presidents. (France tends to be second.) A keen ability to deliver cash to campaigns has been the deciding factor when doling out ambassador positions. Foreign policy experience has been much less important and generally not relevant at all. What a disappointment that cronyism is continuing like this. And for good measure, the choice is a bankster from Citi because the Obama administration doesn’t have enough people from Citi already. Then again after chopping 50,000+ jobs, there are plenty of them on the street without work. Change?

The next ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary will be Louis Susman, a lawyer and financier with little experience of foreign affairs.”

On a lighter note, but very appropriate for these days…….(Who will send this to Empress Michelle?)

The Key To Femininity

Gary, that is a telling anecdote about Judy Shepard. It doesn’t surprise me in the least. The Obamas have no sense of graciousness or compassion.

Let me restate my best quote of the day from j-som at liberal rapture
“So many people went out of their way to become stupid in 2008. I have no sympathy left for the bozos who supported Obama unquestioningly.”

If these bozos had not put color over country and truly believed in civil rights, Hillary Clinton would be president now.
She did more for civil rights than backtrack and bunch ever thought of doing.
They did not give a damn on what was best for the country or civil rights. Now they start questioning too little – too late.
There would have been a much better solution to the torture problem and I do belief people would have been prosecuted for their acts. America could have regained some of her standing in the world with Hillary Clinton in charge. But they wanted color over country.

Great post Taggles – someone spoke a tiny bit of truth to the emperor and he showed that wonderous judgement of his based on his experience in life. It makes me shudder. It is freakin’ scary how boneheaded and just plain wrong he is. I shall not be naive and think there is anyone in the fruadulent group that “selected” POS who knows or cares the difference between right and wrong. That was my only hope for five minutes when Bu$hit was selected. We see how that worked out.

Chris Floyd has an interesting post – The American Way – in defense of George Bush. Sorry, I don’t do links.

O/T Kinda. The House vote is taking place as I type. 5 minutes arguments after vote. I am watching on C-span

“Republicans to seek formal Pelosi investigation: source”

http://rawstory.com/08/news/2009/05/21/republicans-to-seek-formal-pelosi-investigation-source/

Oh wait the vote right now is to table the appeal of the voice vote decision of he chair.

The O’s are outstanding in only one way – their obivous courseness. From the hamfisted sexist statements of MO against Hillary, cries of racist against Bill and Hillary, never standing up against hateful statements against bigotry and homophobia – the list is long. Most countries want to be represented by wisdom and balance in their leader. I don’t care to please other countries, but to be on the right side of human rights and set a tone for the rest of the world if we are in fact a world leader. From where I sit, we are a banana republic with Evita in control or, out of control rather.

Again, I do not understand the politics of it. Why is Cheney getting a major voice in this shit. To answer myself, I am actually thinking this whole thing is an orchestrated “debate” between Bush and Obama admin to keep the public from looking at the international issues.

This whole thing could still go international, because of Bush State Department officials statements at the UN. Everyone is only talking about American law which both sides can argue forever, all the way to the Supreme Court on every lawsuit. Jeremy Schahill (msp) is the only one following Spain’s suit.

Could be Latda. International can also mean the three wars we’re fighting, beyond the torture. Both speeches these morning invoked the nation’s “war against terrorism.” After tracking these four wacked out and dangerous NY area terrorists for 12 months, the FBI makes the big arrests just last night. It all seems neatly packaged. We are back to Bush days for sure.

Taggles, that Obushma photo is a keeper. Freaky good.

“not helpful” = “better be nice to me” = a threat.
Just thought I’d make things clear. Someone is drunk on power.

yep, that is what I thought too edge.

the picture freaked me out.

Great post, Taggles. We need to keep slapping them upside the head (figuratively speaking) until they get a clue.

I too pray for the day when those hate-filled moronic Obots turn on their “master.” Jesus Lord Almighty Karl f*cking Rove has an article in the WSJ praising Obama’s flip-flops on national security & still the Obots worship him. They are not only stupid — they are stubborn & delusional. I’m glad these people met with Obama, but the truth that it doesn’t matter what they say to him: Obama is going to do what the people who paid for him to “win” want him to do. The time to stand up against Obama was during the PRIMARY when it was apparent that the DNC was helping him game the system. But those same people are the very ones who didn’t care because they wanted Obama to “beat the b!tch.”

BTW — the Rove article is here if anyone is interested:
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124286200693341141.html#mod=rss_opinion_main
(there is plenty of smack downs for his flip-flops on domestic policy too, but the main point is: Obama isn’t as advertised).

Gary — why am I not surprised that they treated Sheppard’s mother like that? The only ones who should be are those who expected better.

Oh, and I’ve been meaning to say this for a while now: Who in their right mind can look at Axelrod & that disgusting porn mustache & not know that he is a lying pos?

“not helpful” = “better be nice to me” = a threat.

He was saying that to the left regarding “us” comparing him to Bush.
What is he threatening the left with? “You won’t see heath care, cap and trade, the repeal of don’t ask don’t tell, another women on the Supreme Court, a higher tax rate on the top 5 %, “green” jobs, alternative energies, the end of the Iraq war, torture prosecutions, etc. until the day hell freezes over.”

And somewhere, George W. Bush is laughing his ass off in the comfort of his new mansion and the fact that his “sins” being absolved by The One! Barack “Gerald Ford” Obama, in his quest to “look forward, not back”, has just excused the last 8 incredible years of an outlaw administration he so gallantly compaigned against and poke the “progressive wing” of his own party in the eye.

Meanwhile, Dick Cheney is gaining in popularity with those in the country who secretly and openly support his nefarious rule and bolstering a faltering GOP in the hopes of regaining power in the next 4 years. Thank you, Obama, just the “hope and change” we all were promised should you win the election!

And if your cheerleading sector, the Obots, are unable to grasp the irony of these policies you intend to support, the laugh is on them. Hard to keep repeating “I told you so” but damn, it feels so right.

The messaging strategy from the WH seems to be, we know you are in great pain because of the economy, don’t worry, we will keep you safe from terrorists.

Madamab-and everyone I am fearful that when my/our Obot friends wake up from the Koolaid Drip….they will not appreciate us being right from the start. Instead they will blame us for not doing enough to prevent the current sorry state of affairs….

I can see it now PUMA is driving Obama to the right and it is our fault that he has moved to the right. If we had just shut up and sat quietly at the back of the bus non of this would have happened….

angiencpets-that is funny I never realized it till now but the fraud does have a 70′s pornstar ‘stashe-like ron jeremy-LOL

personally I am for some real head slapping-

Um calling Obama a lying no good two timing homophobe right will fred phelps rush limbaugh loving closet republican a$$hole is probably not helpful either.

Maybe I should start watching Rachel Madcow…errr…Maddow.

After tracking these four wacked out and dangerous NY area terrorists for 12 months, the FBI makes the big arrests just last night. It all seems neatly packaged. We are back to Bush days for sure.

Seems interesting that this arrest was made today with them know that Cheney was going to accuse them on not being “tough on terror.” I can’t stand Cheney but I forced myself to listen to both of them today just to try to figure out this charade that the press is completely feeding us.

I actually wish that I could be overwhelmingly jumping for joy about the arrest but I am so skeptical of the combo platter of Obobush that I will probably continue distrusting our government for another 10 years. I started my complete distrust in our system when the Repugs disbarred Clinton and wasted 2 years of his admin with their impeachment shit.

“they will not appreciate us being right from the start. Instead they will blame us for not doing enough to prevent the current sorry state of affairs….”

That’s just a given to me, fuzzy, and always has been since the day I got involved in Puma. My fear is that the little tots will never vote again after this and we will be stuck with Republicans for another 12 years. I’m moving to Madrid with my other friends if this happens. We already have gay friends there. And beside that I love Gaudi!

You know what? After the Obots called me racist and delusional for accurately predicting every single FUCKING THING that OBushMa was going to do, they can say whatever they want. I will laugh at their pathetic, stupid antics and slap them upside the head until they shut the fuck up and beg for my forgiveness.

And yes, that’s a lot of head-slapping. They fucking deserve it!

More bullshit from the media. Women just can’t control themselves:

This may come as little surprise to most people: In times of crisis, women are more likely to take a shopping spree than in normal times.

A new survey finds almost half of UK women are frightened or scared by the recession, and 45 percent felt their financial situation had taken a hit. A full 75 percent said they would be making cutbacks.

Yet 79 percent of them said they would splurge to cheer themselves up…

“This type of spending, or compensatory consumption, serves as a way of regulating intense emotions,” said Karen Pine, a University of Hertfordshire professor and author of “Sheconomics” (Headline Publishing Group, 2009).

Are you fucking kidding me? emotional women can’t handle crisis?? Sheconomics??? I hate this kind of sexist propaganda. They even debunk themselves in the same article, but of course they know most people won’t read that far…

The problem is likely not confined to women. A 2006 study in the United States found 6 percent of women have it so bad they are labeled compulsive buyers, but so are 5.5 percent of men.

to quote Pat, I hate these people.

One of the prevailing memes now in the fauxgressive sphere seems to be, see what he does, not what he says. Well, I for one think what Barry does will be more reactionary than what he says. Obot delusion, comes in special concentrate.

Well, I for one think what Barry does will be more reactionary than what he says.
***********
Change “will be” to “is”…….Most of the words written for him, that he reads, sound good, then look at what is happening, especially at DoJ, then there is FOCA, Fair Pay, blowing the shit out of West Virginia, on and on.

Um, in what universe is anything Obama has done “progressive?” Okay, he lifted the global gag rule. What else?

[cricket cricket cricket]

Yeah, that’s what I thought. Morons.

Gary – that is especially putrid!

I guess the real story, “People Like to Go Shopping During a Crisis,” was just too obvious for anyone to care about. “Sheconomics” indeed!

THIS is the “Sheconomics” they SHOULD be discussing:

Today, Audur Capital is one of the few firms in the Icelandic finance sector that is actually turning a profit—perhaps the only one, though no one dares to say exactly. The company is growing, with 22 employees already. “We’re still hiring,” says a proud Halla Tomasdottir. The company currently has around 15 million Icelandic krona (around €90 million) in assets.

At Audur, there’s a simple recipe for success. “We’ve brought greater female values into the financial world,” says Halla. The company isn’t interested in investments that quickly generate high yields. Instead, they focus on sustainable investments in projects that make as much sense socially and environmentally as they do for the investors themselves. The women call their business maxim “emotional capital,” or “profit with principles.”

The male power executives formerly known as masters of the universe are dressing down these days. Comfy suits, bright colorful shirts, pastel ties with squirrels on them. Could be the summer season, the economy, or anything to protect those bonuses. Torn jeans to work by July.

How’s your husband feeling, madamba? I went to the doctor yesterday for an annual. I was sick later in the night. I just know I got something from the freaking doctor’s office. I still don’t feel quite right today. It was the doctor’s office or either my lunch. Arghhhh!

O.T.: Has anyone used a neti pot before?

In my quest to find things that will unstop, clear up or whatever my head, I saw them at Walgreens and got one.

Anyone have good results with them?

I’m reading the instructions and guess I’m getting ready to do my version of waterboarding. :!:

Oh, I’m sorry Latda! Blech!

Hubby is okay now. I think he was just exhausted beyond belief. He had been severely overworked for about a month and just couldn’t do any more. He slept almost all day! I cooked dinner for him and stuff like that.
:-)

From deadenders:

As I posted there, I wonder how he justifies this.

Oh my Gawd, Fredster. Oh my Gawd. Another horrible Bush idea that Obama is okaying!

What the hell is wrong with him?!

O/T but rather timely for the events unfolding before our eyes:

It was 40 yrs ago today that I held my third child in my arms for the first time. A premie baby, born with hyaline membrane disease, whose chances of living beyond 3 days was doubtful. He weighed a scant 5 lbs and his little head had been shaved so they could attach the electrodes to determine any brain damage. But he was a little fighter and managed to override the odds and within weeks I took him home with the advice to “feed him on demand” in order to put some meat on his bones and fatten him up. By six months we was a beautiful “little butterball” and by 12 months he was up to almost 30 lbs!

His nature was always sunny and he was easy to raise and be around because he was pretty adaptable. People would stop in the street to admire him and he basically loved the attention. He sucked it up! A nice little boy with a good disposition who was a pleasure to be around. I can say this with much modesty since he was pretty much his own person even as a child and did not require much from me since I was also quite busy with the other three as well.

He was the only one of my children who did not cry from the separation on the first day of school, but instead always looked forward to the adventure of whatever he encountered. By the 4th grade at a Parent/Teacher Conference, his teacher advised me that he had “no wrinkles”. She explained that he got along with both boys and girls and saw no differences in schoolmates of different colors. She concurred that he was well on his way to becoming a “human being” as he seemed to delight in everything around him and viewed the world as his “learning experience” from an early age.

By his teens he had developed into a person who knew how to take care of himself to some extent. For two summers he delivered both morning and afternoon papers along with a monthly edition that paid for his school clothes and enough put aside to pay for his driving lessons. At 16 he had a part time job as a grocery boy and the earnings he made helped to purchase his first car by the time he was 17.

He had a girlfriend in high school and they dated for almost 6 years. The break up was difficult but it was during this time, aged 21, that he revealed that he was gay. I remember his opening up to me, his fear of my disappointment and possible rejection because of it. It astounded me at first that he would have ever contemplated for a moment that I would ever reject him. Admittedly I agonized, not for me, but for him. What his revelation could do to him by others was my biggest fear. But it became apparent to me as well that expecting him, or others, to have to deny themselves in favor of someone else’s narrow vision of life was unacceptable. You can no more deny your sexuality than you can you own height.

Of all my children he is the most generous, the most sensitive, the most loving and giving. I could not imagine for a moment not ever having him in my life. His sense of humor and his very presence makes me feel special and proud that he is mine. For anyone to reject my child for being who he is is the saddest commentary that a mother could ever know.

He is my son, the child “without wrinkles” that has is being denied the dignity to live his life unfettered, unjudged, unprotected, and dismissed by the bigots of the world who know him not. It hurts to be reminded that a child comes into this world to face the hatefulness over which he/she has no control.

I hate the people who do this and those who silently applaud. I hate that they take such pride and pleasure in their efforts to reject with such malice. I love my son. I am his mother and I hurt as much for those who other mother’s and children who must live with this unnecessary pain.

It is when I see the possible stupidity of what the state of California may be doing to the gay citizens of their state that it is difficult to remain silent. The effects of this possible legislation goes beyond just those members of the gay community. As a mother, it breaks my heart.

I am actually beginning to think that we cannot equate Obama to Bush. Bush might just prove himself to be not as bad as Obama!

Nice Democrat these obots chose. WHY could we not have had Hillary???? She at least had a brain that she used and she really cared about people!

madamab: DE sez it’s a payback to GE (guess they have the nuke technology).

As they said, it seems the UAE could use solar and wind.

DE says the UAE uses natural gas for electricity generation and they have to import 60%. I find that odd, because usually where you have oil you can find natural gas too. Don’t know who they are importing the gas from but I’d think it would be a friendly Arab nation.

All in all, it’s a bad decision.

PJ: What a beautiful, yet painful post.

Happy birthday to your son. Is this the son who is moving some miles away from you?

More hypocrisy from Obama

Diplomatic sources confirmed to The Daily Telegraph that Louis Susman, 71, who retired as a vice-president of Citigroup in February, will become ambassador to the Court of St James’s. An announcement is expected shortly.

He has little foreign policy experience but has been nicknamed the Vacuum Cleaner in his native Chicago – Mr Obama’s power base – because of his ability to hoover up campaign cash. “. “I don’t think anyone enjoys raising money, but for some reason I seem to have a knack,” he told the “Chicago Tribune”.
(snip)
On the campaign trail, Mr Obama criticised President George W. Bush for appointing fundraisers to key diplomatic posts. William Farish, a multimillionaire Texan, and Robert Tuttle, a California car dealer – both top financial backers – served as ambassadors to London during the Bush years.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/5359230/Barack-Obama-to-appoint-Louis-Susman-American-ambassador-in-London.html

Fredster: Yes, he is the one! At this moment he is at the Grand Canyon enjoying his 40th birth day. I am adapting. One of my friends just advised me today that her son is going to Africa for two years to teach in village that has no road access. And here I am, complaining about driving for 40 minutes. It is all relative.

“O.T.: Has anyone used a neti pot before?”

When I use it, it really does work, fredster. Sometimes I just get lazy. When allergy season is going on use in the am and pm. Other times usually just the morning is fine. I can avoid sinus meds when I use it. Make sure you don’t make the saline solution too strong and if you are really brave when you’re sick do one with some garlic juice in there. You will hate me for a couple of minutes afterward, but actually respect me for life for being able to do that. You will be joining a unique cub of masochist. LOL

He is my son, the child “without wrinkles” that has is being denied the dignity to live his life unfettered, unjudged, unprotected, and dismissed by the bigots of the world who know him not. It hurts to be reminded that a child comes into this world to face the hatefulness over which he/she has no control.

That is the best statement of the monumental evil that these religious bigots represent.

As you said Pat, it’s all relative. At least you won’t have to fly Air Nigeria to go see him:

http://www.flyairnigeria.com/

aww Pat J — I love you — you’re almost as good a mommy as mine! :-)

But you are wrong about this:

You can no more deny your sexuality than you can you own height.

No one has ever nor will they ever catch me in less than 3 inch heels — to the world, I’m at least 5’5. :-)

SHV: The very same people who insist that a baby is a gift. As long as they are beautiful, healthy gifted, and accomplished of course. And those who fall below that criteria are not necessarily welcomed as they grow. Hypocrisy at its finest.

angie: And thanks to Max Factor, I don’t look a day older than 39! Oh the lies we tell one another.

latda: This one came with packets pre-mixed with to put in.

I’m not sure what this means, but on the box it says it’s isotonic and it’s hypertonic with 2 or more packets. ??

I’ll try it with one first and then see about trying two.

I’ll wait about the garlic juice!

Pat, thank you for sharing such a wonderful tribute. Happy birthday to your son. He sounds like a solid man and human being.

3W: He is a very nice person.

Pat, your comment brought tears to my eyes. I cannot imagine what you go through on behalf of your beloved son, but I can at least sympathize.

I don’t understand how the fundiegelicals can hate someone they’ve never met with such a furious passion. It is pure, unadulterated evil, and the polar opposite of what Jesus Christ taught in the Bible. It is certainly not Christian in any way, shape or form.

madamab: It equates to the hatred of the Jews or blacks or any other culture that has met the same rejection based on nothing but unbridled ignorance. The nazi’s killed as many homosexuals as could be identified along with the Jews so the insanity of those positions still reverberate.

Fredster, the Saudis and Emirates are paying for part of the banking bailout, so sharing the nuclear technology may be Barry’s way of saying thank you.

We are so screwed!!

It is pure, unadulterated evil
**********
Here is their theological basis for that hate:

“Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”

The meaning of that seems obvious: no vaginal intercourse with another man..so what ‘s the problem, the fundies need to read their bibles.

Happy birthday to your son, Pat, and also to you for bringing a wonderful person into the oft difficult world. My partner and I think that our nephew is gay. He is 11 now. I have thought he might be gay since he was around 5. We are so glad he has us…his “aunts” as he calls us both. He probably won’t come out, if he does, until he leaves home. His dad is Mormom, and a sexist, macho cop at that! My partner and I will just make sure he will always have a place on our couch if he needs it.

There is still a sodomy law in LA, SHV.

“The enforcement of the ‘crime against nature’ is not considered unconstitutional in Louisiana [State v. Picchini, App. 4 Cir.1985, 463 So.2d 714, writ denied 468 So.2d 1201]”

But get this: “Sexual intercourse with a dead human body is not a crime in Louisiana. [State v. Schmidt, 1927, 163 La. 512, 112 So. 400] “

Maybe the people who have sex will with dead bodies can get full marriage benefits soon.

His dad is Mormom, and a sexist, macho cop
*********
very bad luck of the “draw” for that kid.

Latda: If that little boy is, it is difficult to imagine what he will have to go through should the time comes in an attempt to define himself. It shouldn’t be that way. Looking forward to living in a society that is “don’t ask, don’t tell” should be considered for what it really is. An outright denial of a human being. The fact that you and your partner more than likely have lived through some of this shunting aside allows you both the opportunity to welcome this young man if it becomes necessary. Good on you both!!

I can hang with it, SHV, coming from an Evangelical family (many preachers) and a few KKK members at that. My dad is gay and in an interracial relationship for 25 years. He was just outright told if he “crossed the LA line” he was a dead man.

I couldn’t even be around him until I left home. I was also kicked out of college in the fine state of LA. And basically threatened with the Sodomy Law if I didn’t leave “voluntarily”. So all of that should pretty much clearly explain why “I would never vote for an Evangelical Christian” as I was firm about the other day. I know what is taught in that sect.

Bottom line, after I just told my life’s story. I will go up against that Mormon cop asshole and never blink an eye. And besides that, his grandfather, my father in law, is a retired undercover detective, and the Mormon knows it. That child will always be safe.

Wow, I can’t believe I shared that in detail on a blog. Look what you caused, Pat, with your heart opening post. The HOMO AGENDA rules!!!!

Pat
you raised a beautiful, loving son. Many mothers would envy you. Only stupid people define a person by their sex life. People should defined by what they do with their lives. Do they make the world around better? It sounds to me that your son does that every day. You did good lady/////

I don’t think they do much enforcing in the French Quarter! ;-)

Pat – your post was so heart warming. Each and everyone of our children are different. I can’t tell you how many families I know try to put all of them in the same box. It does not work and causes great pain. Some children have a more difficult path and still bloom and give back so much. You really are a special lady.

Latda – the people I have come to know on my choosen blogs who share their life stories mean a lot to me. I don’t have the words to explain it properly right now – I got no sleep last night, but thank you for sharing. I guess it’s like a tree – the wind and rain pounds on them – it makes them strong. Even before we know some of the story – we recognize those who have the strength, the knowledge, the courage that is developed sometimes from having to deal with morons. Maybe it just makes right and wrong clearer for being a ‘humane being’.
