I don’t drink much any more, but, when I do, I’m an elitist snob who prefers a smooth, dark, caramelly mellow, old Family Reserve cognac. Or 5.

Thank you for the scotch. I do not keep any at my house since I like it too much. I do intend to drink my friends scotch, however, if they are generous enough to offer.

Henri IV Dudognon Heritage which costs around $2,000,000 is the most expensive alcohol in the world. This particular cognac was aged for 100 years in barrels that were air dried for five years before use. The final product is 41% alcohol (82 proof). Besides the content, the bottle itself has quite a few characteristic. The bottle is dipped in 24k gold and sterling platinum and adorned with 6,500 brilliant cut diamonds.

Chatblu – he was taking aspirin every day and now is going to keep up with his Plavix. The real problem is he works way too hard, he hasn’t exercised in a loooooong time, and he needs to lose 40 lbs. Did I mention he has a history of heart disease in his family and that he just turned 68?

We did a family intervention and I think he is going to do better. So that is good news.

Plavix is a terrific drug. Has he had arterigraphy? Sometimes there’s a blockage that can be pulled out or bypassed. He should also have his lipids looked into: LDL, HDL, and triglycerides.

I knew that madam but i do like Digby’s writing. I didn’t care for how she handled the bots during the primary but she is an intelligent woman and I just love me some smart women.

Chatblu – he has no blockage. Thank goodness! It’s really just stress, bad eating, no exercise and high cholesterol.

I agree, RD62, Digby is an excellent writer. I miss going to her site, but the Obots scared me away a long time ago. Sigh.

If he gets the LDL down (Think Happy for HDL or good, cholesterol and LDL for lousy cholesterol) it can make a huge difference as well. While statins have their side effects, they do a good job.

And damned good when you want a beer. I rarely drink it, except on hot August days after cutting grass in SE Louisiana (and also trying to breathe in 98 temps and humidity to match!). Also, when I’m having boiled shrimp or crabs a cold beer is good.
Those two pretentious cocksuckers wouldn’t know about Abita Beer or that great Abita Springs water it’s made with.
I like the Amber and Turbodog. Makes me think of the Big Dawg maybe?

Thanks, Gary, for showing that piece of art. I love it. Now that’s the shame I’m talking about. That inherent shame imposed by the Church that is so embedded like a freaking genetic memory. Good find. I also responded at Cinie’s regarding Mawn’s piece. Loved his use of the depths of blue and just letting himself go into that space intuitively.

la t da, that photo of that painting was when he was still working on it. He does this painiting competition every year where they have 8 hours to do a painting on a theme, I think it was “the sea” that year. It looks somewhat different finished, but I don’t have a pic of it…
