MW: A New Educational Opportunity – Beck University

No, I am not making this up. I wish I were. Not content with reframing debate into an ongoing comparison of liberal thought processes to the nais, Beck has launched a new educational endeavor. Beck U. appears to be basically an online educational process, scheduled to open this month with the following educational offerings: Faith 101, 102, and 103; Hope 101, 102 and 103; and Charity 101, 102, and 103. Apparently, one must first become a member of his Insider’s group in order to matriculate.
Mother Jones provides the following suggestions for further courses of study:
Theories of Self and Other in the Autobiography of Ronald Reagan Semiotics of Tricornered Hats Mythology 101: Fossils Presidential History From Harding to Coolidge Oath Keeping Semester Abroad in Kenya with Visiting Professor Dr. Jerome Corsi Physics Great Military Heroes: John Wayne Intro to Theology: Ayn Rand Advanced Marketing Seminar: Rare Gold Coins of AM Radio Waves Fundamentals of Spelling and Grammar CANCELEDDrama 101: Intro to Alternative Lifestyles Psych 301: Paranoia as Therapeutic Alternative Wilde, Proust, and Other Homosexual Europeans Middle Eastern and Arab Cultures: What’s Up With That? Well, I have a few suggestions, but none of them are legal. Euthanasia 101 for starters, and I’m not normally a violent person.

Life 101 – The course emphasizes the preciousness of life and the protection of the innocent with the exception of: Civilian casualties from US drone attacks, soldiers sent to fight wars created under false pretenses, wrongfully convicted US citizens, illegal immigrants, elderly people who can no longer afford their medications, battered women seeking protection for themselves and their children, and pregnant women whose lives are at risk as a result of their pregnancy.

Chat, the older I get, the more I believe that we should all have a choice – one about giving life, and one about ending life. I don’t want to hang on to life while hooked up to equipment that will arbitrarily ensure that my bodily functions will continue, even if my mind has long given up the ghost.
WRT the Glenn Beck situation, he’s just another Marjoe Gortner, without the subsequent awakening. He is selling something, unfortunately there are people who will buy his schtick, further emboldening him to continue to sell himself.

If he were educated into matriarchal culture, he would know that the three graces dispensed “charis”, a gift of sensual love, rather than the ascetic creed of charity. He will be so pissed when he finds outs. “Faith, Hope, and Grace are Whores”. That could be the title of one of his future books.
